FAQs
Fillers and Anti-wrinkle treatments are two completely different medicines, used to achieve completely different results. Fillers are typically used to restore lost volume, add definition, or alter the contours of your face. Anti-wrinkle treatment is used to treat fine lines and wrinkles, for example, at the top of your face.
The amount of time it takes for each patient to recover varies depending on the type of filler used. However, for the most part, fillers require very minimal downtime. Most activities can be resumed right away; however, it’s best to avoid strenuous physical activity for the first 24-48 hours to avoid swelling and bruising. You can expect minimal bruising and swelling post-procedure; however, if experienced, these side effects usually subside after the first 72 hours. If side effects are concerning or last for more than several days, please contact Amplecare Health and Aesthetic clinic to discuss your concerns with your treatment provider.
Injectable fillers have varying longevity. Most fillers can last from 6 to 12 months, but the duration of results depends on where the fillers are placed. In areas such as under-eye, your nose, or your jawline, fillers can last anywhere from 9 to 12 months. In areas such as your lips, generally fillers have a shorter duration and are expected to last from 6 to 9 months.
